Panasonic Tv + Sky Magic Eye + HDMI over Cat5 problem?

I am/was having a weird issue here with my two Panasonic Televisions and their the sky magic eye and HDMI over Cat5 baluns.

I have a Panasonic LCD in the living room where I have the Sky+HD box, I have the magic eye system running to each bedroom via a distribution amplifier. I have a HDMI splitter and a HDMI over 2x Cat5 balun sending a dpulicate of the HD signal so I can watch HD in the den where I have another Panasonic Plasma; this way I can watch High-Def in both the living room and Den simultaneously, although obviously I can only watch one channel at a time.

I could also watch over the RF out but it is a poor quality picture compared to the Cat5 setup, I only use the magic eye part of it for to change channel remotely.

So after a lot of use and a set of weird happenings in my house we came to two conclusions that a) the house was haunted :D or b) every remote signal is getting transmitted between the two tvs, when I turn off either TV in either room then both tvs get switched off simultaneously!! Both TV remotes are interchangeable and it was quite the nuisance! as both TV's are connected to the Sky box via HDMI splitter and HDMI over Cat5 Balun and as a result CEC (Viera link) was causing it.

Ideally I wonder is there any way to change the TVs remote codes so they would be like two different manufacturers. At the moment I am ok as I don't need Viera link on one of the TV's but if I do later on then it would become troublesome.

    Anyone encounter this before?
