i keep finding that i get pins and needles in my toes when cycling. i thought it was due to cold and got neoprene toe covers but even during the summer it was still happening. i did a 50k tt yesterday with a short run off the bike but the pins and needles were really affecting my run for a couple of kms.

could it be something to do with my shoes or cleat position or is it just something that i have to get used to. i have my first oly next week and i'd like to get it sorted before that.

    cheers
    P

From my experience it would be either the position of your cleets, or else possibly whatever way you are sitting on your saddle. If you tend to sit in a manner which compresses the sciatic nerve in some way (it runs through your bum) I find I get pins and needles along some parts in my leg/feet. Just a thought.
