My Panasonic G4210L UK imported plasma TV has just told me it is going to do a system update! Now it has a progress bar running across the screen and says it will take about 40 minutes. Any idea what is going on?

My TV is doing this also, it is a firmware upgrade to allow for the BBC iPlayer upgrade which means you can use your TV to download VOD from BBC iPlayer in the UK similiary to how RTE have their RTE player catch up service. However the drag for us in the ROI is that we will be geoblocked as we will be accessing from an Irish IP adress. However you can setup a VPN tunnel in a router to get around this I beleive which will route the traffic via a UK proxy fooling the TV into thinking it is actually in the United Kingdom. My TX-P50G10B is about 75% through the update here after about 6 minutes and I'm on a 7mb connection at the moment.

Mine upgraded nicely and took about 15 mins from start to finish, I now have BBC iPlayer beta on the red button 7001, but am getting geoblocked and it says "we have lost the connection"

If anyone can get it working I'd love to know how, as you can stream High-def over it if you have a speedy enough connection.
