Possible to transfer from nuim to another nui??

Just wondering would it be possible to transfer from nuim to another nui after 1 semester or even 1 year?? If you wanted to transfer into the exact same course, eg science in nuim to science in nuig to finish the remainder of your course?? Thanks!! :)

Not sure about semesters but one of my friends was able to transfer from UCC (after doing one year) to NUIM for his second Arts.
