DCU Journalism Registration

Hey, did anyone else who registered for Journalism in DCU get to pick what modules (like the American Political System, Contract Law etc.) they wanted to do? I registered yesterday and didn't get to, so I went onto the registration page again today to see, and I do not remember filling in the "Subject Selection" page. Maybe I did, and it has nothing to do with the modules, but I'm still wondering if I accidentally skipped over it?
In saying this, when I logged in today a pop-up screen came up with a list of the different subjects for Semester 1 and 2, underneath was written "No optional modules attached to this qualification". But... there are!
    Thanks for any help

Ah! At last, someone else on here doing Journalism!

I was thinking about that too, but when I looked at the list of modules I saw that the modules you have a choice in don't come into play until semester 2. Maybe we don't have to choose until then? It's confusing enough though...

That doesnt sound correct. You usually select both semester one and two modules at the start of the year. Perhaps its just something for Journo.

If I were you, I'd talk to registry immediately and maybe you should let the Journalism Programme Chair, Patrick Kinsella, know as well. You should have picked two optional modules for semester two.

If you can't get it sorted out now then don't worry, you can always register for the two modules during the second semester's change of mind period. This year that will be from February 14th to 21st.

Was just about to ask that too, but then i saw that they are all in the second semester so presumed we pick them at a later stage. Should be a bit clearer though.

I tried ringing the Registry today, I rang 3 times but was put on hold for AGES each time to no avail.

Then I looked at the list of core and choice modules from last year and my own list of registered modules and saw that I already had one chosen for me, Analysing Media Content. I seriously have no idea what's going on
