Ryanair cabin baggage

    Hi..

Ryanair give max. cabin bag dimensions of 55 x 40 x 20 cm. My wife's cabin baggage is 50 x 30 x 22 thus a fair bit smaller in volume than their limit - but bigger by 2cm in the depth dimension. I've heard Ryanair are incentivising staff to target folk with out of spec cabin baggage and wonder what they'd make of this 'deviation'.

    A reason to fear?

    Ta/

Last time I flew with them the girls checking the boarding passes were making everyone with cases or holdalls put them in the frame, but not backpacks for some reason. My bag was 1cm too big on one dimension and at the limit on the other two but fitted the frame easily

Your cabin bag should be within the dimensions. If not then be prepared to pay to put it in the hold and pay up.

You can take a chance but dont be suprised or annoyed if they catch you out. You want a stress free journey then comply, you want to chance it then you take the consequences if caught out.

As long as you can squeeze it in that metal frame you're fine. They weren't checking everyone's when I was going through, just people with bags that looked big. So don't over stuff it and it should be fine.

Thanks folks. It would appear we could be nabbed. Will probably take the chance but will take the advice on not being annoyed if caught.

Mine was a soft roller bag way bigger than the allow.

Rammed it in the frame, fitted but the wheels were sticking out, she said nothing, might of been the wink that did it though
