    Hi Im 20,male and buying first car.Got a reasonable quote today for a 96 1.3 corolla.Just wondering what the difference would be for tax/insurance on a 1.6 si model.The 1.3 and 1.6 can be bought for the same price!Its just that I dont want to be hit with a big insurance quote..

    The tax for a 1.3 is €333.
    The tax for a 1.6 is €447.

    Nobody on an internet forum can tell how much extra the insurance will be as there are too many unknown variables to take into account by insurance companies when they calculate a premium. You will need to ring them to find out.
