I got WoW today, installed the game but am stuck on a patch

    I downloaded a patch approx 680MB in size, but this new one is 192MB in size and it gets stuck at 10%.

    When I opened up the downloader after a while I even got a "malware" warning from AVG, it cames from the WoW folder and was something like "GBDownloader.exe". I know get "Updating Failed" when I log on. This is all so confusing. Anyone know what to do?

    try turning avg for a bit while you patch. Also have a look at wowwiki for patch mirrors instead of using the downloader.

    Make sure you open the down loader as an admin if your under win 7. Had some problems with that before myself.
