Language Moduel in HH&D

Hi, I picked a Language Module (German) instead of the other module choices in the Orientation Pack because I like German and got an A2 in the LC. I read in another thread that most people struggle to cope with the module because of the work load. Is this true?
Also, are there anyone in HH&D that also picked a language module?

Hey! I'm in HH&D too! I didn't pick a language module, I didn't actually pick any module yet! - I'm not going to do a language tough - english is plenty enough for me!:) I've heard the same that the language modules aren't great - but make up your own mind! You said on another thread could you still change your mind. I started this course last yr & had to take the yr out & I remb there was loads of timetable clashes so nearly everyone had to change their choices in the first wk. Have you the email address of the course director? - if so email him that you want to change.

Just wanted to say hi coz I'm doing HHD too Haven't bothered with a language myself, would like my evenings free as much as possible!

I had actually gone ahead and signed up for french well before i had heard whta everyone had thought of them So, quick Q, are these modules for credits or could I drop it if I wanted to? Thanks!

Well the module we're supposed to do for HHD is for credits, but otherwise the language modules aren't. You might be able to switch into another module when you register?

As far as I can remb, the language module will cover your credits for the broad curriculum (look at the orientation pk- I was looking at the online one its on pg 38) - you have to do something on the list to make up the credits.

By the by - if anyone wants to meet up during freshers wk we should pm each other - our class meeting isn't till friday, the end of freshers wk!

Ooh a meet up would be neat, it's a bit of a pain having our reg on the last day alright. We have some tours on the first 2 days tho right?

thank god I thought I was the only one doing hh&d! anyone see any timetables yet? theres 25 in the class isn't there?

Yet another HH&D'er here and oblivious to the whole situation! I painfully regret picking the French language module after seeing the negativity of it but surely I can drop out the first week and take up another module for creds?

I emailed the course director yesterday with three new preferences from the booklet and he said it was no problem and that he would try his best to get me in my top one :D Delighted, I wasn't looking forward to the french after hearing the general consensus on here either! :eek:
