Unsure about college grant.

    Hi

I was wondering what kind of college grant i would be intitled to when i apply for the grant next week.

Now i started college back in 2008 and got a grant of 7400 euro, then my mother got ill and later that year i failed some exams and had to take the year out.

So i looked for a job to keep me until i could retake the exams but having been unable to find ANY sort of job at all i had to sign on the dole (JA) now of august this year i retook my exams and im waiting on the results which are due out next week, but im 100% i passed.

Now i know because my sister is no longer in college with me i will only get a grant of 3400 euro but last week my mother passed away due to her illness and my father will no longer receive carer benefits etc.

My question is am i still entitled to a grant??? And of how much?? As im very scared of being given nothing and i have a very slim chance of getting any sort of job for money ans i can't hold my hand out to my father as i never have and he now has alot more to deal with financially!

    Thanks
