I've Been Hacked

I'm looking advice re a Wordpress hack, here is where I'm at.

Our local Writers Group recently bought a copy of the Thesis Wordpress Theme and I'm the one with the task of trying to get our old site up and running agin.

Anyway I was asking some questions of the Thesis board and received an answer back that my site had been hacked. The posted got me to look at the code for the site: abcwritersnetwork.co.uk and at the very bottom of it was this line: <script>ttp://onlineisdudescars.DOTcomDOTcoDOTphp"></script> I've removed the h from http and substituted DOT for '.' just to be on the safe side.

I done a full scan with my anti-virus software VIPRE but nothing shows. I' must confess though I'm very disappointed at VIPE, I've emailed them on three separate occasions and have yet to receive a auto-generated reply, never mind an answer. When my contract is up I don't think I'll be renewing.

I've also performed a full scan with Malwarebytes and it is shown no results.

So if, using FTP, I remove the complete folder containing the hack and reinstall everything, should that get me out of trouble?

If I go down this road will it affect the information that is sitting in my database on my ISP's server ie when I reinstall Wordpress will I have lost any of the posts, pages etc that are on the current installation?

Images that I may need are stored on a different file on my computer.

    Kevin

Firstly, Back everything up. You should be able to download an XML file with the posts/pages in it anyway
