    Hi All,

With the season coming to a close I thought that some of you may be interested in our upcoming online virtual tournaments.

These are really just a bit of fun but with some nice prizes and some top Irish courses taking part.

The tournaments will be run on our virtual courses, which are playable with the MS Links PC Game (2008 version - 1.07). Each event will be different but the prize will more than likely be a 4 ball for the course. We intend to run one a month until April.

    The courses taking part will be;
    • Portmarnock Links
    • Roganstown
    • Bunclody
    • Carton O'Meara
    • Carton Monty
    • Hermitage GC
    • Mount Juliet
    • 1 more (TBC)

The events will be handicapped, so all players even people who have never played the game before have a chance at winning, the conditions and pins for each event will be set by the clubs themselves.

There is no entry cost to play, the only costs will be for the Links game which is $6.99 and for the Hermitage and Bunclody course files gain $6.99 each (but you can skip these events if you wish)

We will have regular leaderboard updates and will run a mini order of merit. The beta of the site with rules and instructions can be seen here - http://www.links-golf.net/golfgraffix/leaderboard.asp

As I mentioned this is really just a fun event with a chance to win a round of golf for you and your buddies at some of Ireland's top courses.

Is links back? I used to be a huge fan back in 2000-2003 but then the whole thing sort of went offline (probably in my mind).

By far the best golf game out there at the time - streets ahead of of ea sports rubbish.

Must dig up my old username, I was alot better online than on the real course!

The 3D flyovers themselves are proving to be a real hit on the site.

Must have a go of the Mount Juliet course on Links.

Yes, MS let it go about 5 years ago, but the code is still there and has been updated regularly over the past number of years, we are actualy about to beta test a 2010 version.

From my company's point of view we have created a plugin that runs alongside the original design MS design program, so we are able to create very accuate courses in a short time frame.

Have a look at our course galleries
