Was just trying to look at my timetable there, and I've got no idea how this works  I get so far as the modules part then I've got no idea how to work it from there. (First year). Little help anyone, please?

Also, another stupid question: what exactly is a module? I thiiink it's a part of a course as in Radio Production is a module of Media Studies. Am I anywhere close?

Thanks by the way. You's really are a great help! Haha.

If the timetable is still confusing you, you should go to NUIM courses link instead (http://www.nuim.ie/courses/?Target=CS&Mode=SEARCH) and put in the degree you will be studying. It will tell you what modules are compulsory and which are electives. If you click on the module as well it will give you the times the lectures are on as well. I found this link to be less confusing than trying to use the timetable without fully knowing your modules codes or even which modules you are meant to be doing.
