I recently found my long-lost Zippo and was anxious to re-commission it . Have just tried 5 shops and none had either fluid or flints - in 3 of the shops the staff didn't even know what I was talking about

Anyone out there know where to get these basic items ?A few years ago getting this stuff was easy.

Depends where you are based really, as a rule of thumb I would say that most places that would sell Zippos would have fluid and flints for them. If there are none like that near you then any shop that sells cigarettes bar Spars, Centras etc should carry them.

Peterson's or Foxes in Dublin should have them

Most newsagents do Swan or Newport flints and fluid. The only place i've ever found official Zippo flints, wicks and fluid is in Petersons at the bottom of Grafton st.

There's also a newsagents along Talbot street which used to sell it: got 5 or so bottles of the stuff the last time I was there, so I wouldn't have to look for another few months.

Followed the advice above and ' presto ' got the stuff ( official zippo as well ) in the shop that sells the lighters.
Intersting that it was such a bloody trial though.

    Many thanks for the replies

Most jewellery shops that have a lighter stand should have the flints and fuel.

They usually have the cheap lighter fluid which I find is bad for the zippo in the long run.

I just take apart old disposable lighters and use the flints in my zippo! Reduce Reuse Recycle:D

There's also a small newsagent just past H&M at Stephen's Green Shopping Centre (walking towards Sth William St) that has all the Zippo gear. Just for future reference!

Came in here to post this, I usually do this and take any old flint lighters of my mates if they're just going to bin them. Haven't bought a proper packet in years! :D
