After trawling for ages through old posts about insulation, I have seen that insulation boards are denser than the pumped bead offering a better u value. People have asked about putting in the boards aginst the outside of the inner leaf and pumping the cavity outside only to be told that would be a good idea only thermal looping would drastically reduce the efficiency due to the gap between the boards and the inner leaf...so my question is would it not be a good idea to put the boards in against the outer leaf and pump inside them therefore eliminating thermal looping and having the higher density boards with the pumped beads reducing the risk of any uninsulated patches??? Or am i missing something??
