Question about Insurance disc

If you had to change your policy with an Insurance company and they issued you a new disc and policy details..just wondering how long should you be waiting for the disc in the post?

I had to send back my other disc which I did and I'm now two weeks waiting for the new disc eventhough I received a printed copy of my policy details from my insurance company that I keep in the car just in case the guards stop me.

Just curious on the above as I hate driving around with no insurance disc and I thought I should have received it in a few days.

    Thanks.

You should have it in a few days,a week at most, especially if you returned the old one!!

    I thought the same.

Funny thing is I rang them on Tuesday 31st August and they told me, it was been sent out to me. I rang them because I received a letter from them stating that they needed me to send back my original Insurance disc or else sign at the bottom of the letter that the original disc was destroyed and return letter. I had to tell them I had the disc sent on to them since the previous thursday August 26th. I asked them if they received it and they told me there over the phone that they had received the disc and that letter was sent out a day before they received my original disc.

Three days ago I received my policy details but no disc and the same letter that was sent on the 31st August was sent to me again. I dont know if they are taking the p*ss at this stage?

    Its typical of this country.

You can be done for non display but they don't seem to care.

Have had experience of this before myself and could nearly guess the company involved.(some of them are well known for it!!!!)

I rang them today and asked why the disc wasnt sent out, they gave me a bullsh*t story that it was sent out and that I should have received it. They made it clear that they sent it out. I told them I wouldnt be ringing them now if I had the disc received. I told them I received the policy details and all but no disc. They couldnt understand it so they said they would sent out another one today. I asked the person that answered my call when should I receive the disc? She told me 3-5 working days. Heres hoping I get the f*cking thing next week. I wont renew my insurance with this group next year. They have been everything but helpful and have annoyed me at this stage.

Just put the policy number on a piece of paper and place it where you would the disc.

    its no big deal really.
