Is it morally right to give money to Pakistan for floods when they have spent billions on nuclear weapons?

Why are they paying for them? Are the free ones they've been getting not enough for them?

Depends on wether you're giving it to the victims of the floods or the makers of the nukes. I don't think they're the same people.

Europe give still us money and we p*ssed billions down the drain on nothing.

Morally, it's wrong not to help people dying on account of those floods if we can. Not exacly the fault of some farmer is rural Pakistan that his country got into an arms race.

I don't think it's immoral to help the people affected regardless of what their country have done..

It was just announced today that Pakistan is the new head of the UN's nuclear watchdog despite not having signed the Non-Proliferation Treaty.. which is odd

Perhaps the question should be, Why should a nation (any nation) create a nuclear weapons arsenal before it can afford to take care of its citizens in time of crisis.

Also sold enrichment equipment to Iraq, Iran and North Korea.

Not wrong in an emergency in my opinion, it is harder to give to them though than other places like the tsunami in Indonesia

I'm glad someone has finally used the word invested instead of the more common "given".

Is it morally right to let people die because you dont think their government should have nuclear weapons. Is it motally right to punish people for the actions of their government

If I really knew that the money I was to give was going to actually help and save someone, then I'd give, but with all these aid agencies it's all money, money, money, money. They're a business first. You throw a few bob into a ****ing bucket here in Ireland and the chances that that money gets
to Pakistan to do any good? Well, I ain't takin' that risk. Oh, how about the old DD bank donation? Unfortunately, tragedy is big business.

Only today they were out on the streets in Drogheda STILL begging for Haiti? I told you, they'd get
serious mileage out of these disasters. What amazes me is how folks give money to these
beggars without a second thought. Not a passing interest. Some wouldn't even know where
the **** Haiti or Pakistan is. And, they'd be the same ones to slag a person for maybe doing
a bit of research into it all before handing over the bank details.

    Absolutely not OP,

The should cut the missiles in half to make 2 boats and feed upon the explosive/toxic content as a food source.

A bit of resiliency goes a far war instead of just crying out like babies for aid just cause their shoes are wet.

    Grow up Pakistan!

The americans have been spending billions blowing the shít out of them for a while now (albeit only in specific areas, on an obviously tiny scale compared to Afghanistan/Iraq; mostly UAV's routinely killing civilians in attacks), perhaps they aught to divert a bit of their military funding to aid? Am sure they could spare a few billions.
