Sounds like the sites you're visiting have not been verified and the connection is not encrypted. Currently boards.ie has the attached. A lot of sites do.

Is it causing an issue with your connection? I don't understand your problem.

No its not causing a problem as such. I was just wondering about it. Chrome seems to be different on my pc at home then the version i have in work. The home button is gone and the the first icon on the right side of the address bar with copy and paste and a few other options is gone.

It sounds like you have some nasties on your computer. Download Super Anti spyware and run it to see does it find anything.

Its all good, a new build rolled out a day or two ago, but it requires a reboot it seems in some cases to be activated. It happens all the time but this update has revamped the interface where as its normally just bugfixes.

Those notices will always be there bar when using SSL (Paypal, ebay, anything with secure login system) from what I can see.

have you the correct date and time set on your PC? this can cause SSL certificates to be flagged as invalid
