    Hi All,
This email is really just a quick question..I have just rented accommodation for the student year on Brunswick Street Smithfield. I am really happy with the place but a few of my friends now have me second guessing with some bad tales about living in smithfield! It seems to have a bad reputation....am I making a big mistake? has anyone any opinion on this area? Please Help.

I lived in Smithfield for a while last year and it honestly wasn't bad. The only thing bad about the place was the people I lived with! Other than that I never had one problem. I heard a lot of bad things about the place and I have to say it was pretty pleasant over all. I lived just by the museum luas stop and never had any trouble considering it was right on the quay. Don't waste money on the corner shops there if you can avoid it though, the one on the square is unusually expensive.
