I was playing the weekend and have one High cap on my M14 and 3 mid caps and have noticed a massive problem , when the mids are loaded and i start to fire the BB's are just getting maybe 5 meters before dropping yet my High Cap fires fine.

I don't think it is the gun as the high cap is fine though it but all 3 of the mids were doing this anyone have any ideas on what this could be ?

Are the mags dirty or full of oil?

    no they are dry

Do they fit well? A drop in range would imply a hop-up problem.

What mags and gun are you using?

The gun is a CA proline M14 ebr and the high cap works fine and has a lovely range on it .
But when i switch to a Mid cap the range goes to nothing the Mags again are CA mags as you cannot buy any other due to the mag size & shape .

Thats really weird, are you sure the bbs in each mag are the same?

Is one mag putting pressure on the hop unit and bending it?

I have never heard the likes of it TBH.

aye they were all the same .25's i have being using them for a while , and aye it is weird i really not sure why all 3 mid caps would not be firing proper

It is actually terrible range is the problem? I'd have a look at the loading nozzle so, the one in the gearbox not the end of the hop unit. The higher feed presure of a mid-cap could be holding back a broken air nozzle.

this happened me before and as far as i can remember it was after i changed the hop rubber or the barrel, not too sure which one.
i dont know the reason why changing either of these caused it tho.
have you changed either of them?

NO i haven't changed it , and again the High Cap mag works fine in the gun it is just the Mid caps that do not work well , i wonder would the spring be maybe too tight and kicking the bb's up too fast ?

Similar problem with both Dr Peppers and my Scar. New mid-caps and bb's not feeding. I have bb's in the mags at the moment softening up the springs.
