    Hi guys,

Advice would be appreciated. I'm starting a postgrad in DCU and registered yesterday. I was just wondering is there a set number of modules/credits you're supposed to do in a year?

I did my undergrad in UCD and it was always 6 subjects per semester. Yet when I went to register, it would only let me register five subjects for semester 1 and six for semester 2? I'm just a bit confused. Hopefully I did it okay. Last thing I want is a huge subject mess up when I start...

Im not 100% if its the same for postgrad as it is for undergrad but it is 60 Credits in total for UG.

I have alot of options in my course and I know there are specific requirements that we must pick one module for each semester etc but it may just be that the modules you are picking are on in sem1 as opposed to sem2..

If you search your course on the dcu website and 'view list of subjects currently thought on this course' this may give you a better idea as it tells you for which semester the modules are applicable :)

For my Masters it was 90 credits total - 30 for each semester, and then 30 for the thesis. Two ten credit and two five credit courses each semester.

But it might depend on your course, and be different for you. The details should be on the webpage for your particular course. And if it's not, send an email to the course coordinator who should be able to help you out.
