Tax question

    Hi,

Don't know if this is the right place for this, sorry if it's the wrong forum.

I started back work this week after 9 months of being on JSA. For some reason or another my wages didn't go through this week. I was wondering if I was to be put through next week for two full weeks wages would I be heavily taxed or do I have a load of tax credits from being unemployed I could use?

    Thanks

Assuming that you have the standard tax credits, and standard rate cut off point, you will almost certainly not have any tax to pay this year. I would ensure that the HP/payroll dept has been given your PPS no.

Yeah I think I have standard single person tax credits, I did last time I worked.
