I just called Sean Behan as they had a used car I liked the look of in Arklow. Woman answered the phone as Arklow Commercial Vehicles and told me Sean Behans were 'closed'.

Does anyone know whats happened to them?

Funny you should bring that up.
I passed thier place this morning and the lot was almost empty. Thought they'd had a huge clearance sale overnight.
Haven't they got another outlet in Carlow (I think)?
Perhaps they're just closing Arklow and concentrating on the one outlet?

Looks like they are gone, not much detail here but looks like a liquidation.

Not wishing to jump on anyones grave, but as of last night my 'dream car' - a 1997 MX-5 was still on the lot. What will happen to the cars - will they go to auction? If there is a liquidator, how do you find out who it is to make an offer on a car???

BTW I tried calling the Carlow number and there was no ring tone.

If Behan was a Land Rover franchisee I can say that his Carlow tent was folded up many many months ago.

This time last year looked at a Peugeot 207 there. Was a year or two old, looked in good condition, I was genuinely interested.
Asked the saleslady the price, she quoted me €11k:eek:
When I pointed out that that was way over the odds she as much as said take it or leave it.
I left it, got similar car 2 weeks later for €7.5k.

Sad to see another one go, or two if you count Carlow but in any dealings I had with him I found him to be an ignoramus. Then again, I was trying to sell him advertising!

That was the red MX-5? We were warned off that one by John, one of the salesguys? Perhaps cos he was trying to flog the more expensive 2001 model?

Anyway, we were down there last saturday and were that || close to putting down a deposit on a car!! So So lucky we didn't!

Passed Sean Behans this morning, and they have a Liquidation Sale banner on the fencing.
Might get a few bargains, if you're lucky.....?

The Carlow outlet has been closed for about a year or more, it didn't last long.
