Odd size shirt

I’m looking to get a good shirt for work to wear a tie with.

Normally I don’t have to wear a tie.

The problem is any shirt that fits my neck is way too big and any shirt that fits my body, I can’t close the top button.

A 15” shirt seems to fit me perfectly but I have a 16” neck.

Any ideas where I could get a shirt in Dublin that would fit me?

Will I have to get one tailor made?

Buy a shirt that fits your neck and then get it altered to fit. Simple fix should only cost a few quid (though why anyone would want a tight body hugging shirt is byond me :))

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

As OG Said. Or try a fully fitted 16" and see how you find it - It might fit a bit better, depending on your build.

Sorry I should have pointed out the sleeves on a 16" shirt are too long.

Some stores have varying lengths of sleeve, which would be worth checking out - TM Lewin's is always a handy store for good quality at lower prices.

You can see the 'adjust sleeve length' option there.

Their current offer is 3 shirts for £99 - If you're not in a rush, wait another few weeks and they'll be doing 4 for £100, and if you wait until the end of that sale, they'll usually put free postage on, unless they completely sell out of stock.

I need the shirt by mid next week.

There is a TM Lewin on South Anne St I think. I'll pop in there and see what they have.

I remember being in there before and you had to buy 3/4 shirts otherwise the prices were very high.

Is there anywhere else where I can buy just one shirt?

Yep, there's one on South Anne Street alright, and you're right, you do have to buy a few at a time to get value - I'm just not sure what deal they have at the moment.

There's plenty of good menswear shops in the area, which are worth popping into. Head on to Pinks from Lewins, and make a few stops on the way. None of them are going to be cheap, but see what's there.

If you only want to get one shirt that fits, my advice is to get one good one, spend the extra few bob on it - It'll look better for longer.

Faj, I'm heading into Lewins myself on Saturday so I'll let you know what the current deals are. (Shirt Porn!)
Of course while I'm in the area it would be wrong of me not to pick up a cigar or two.

Fell foul of this thought on Saturday last and ended up buying a Te-amo. Was a little disappointed in the selection DC had. Might be different this Saturday

Jesus Pink isn't cheap, Super slim fit shirt in there is €155!

Anyway tried one on and a 15 1/2" shirt is a very nice fit but neck is two tight.

Guy in there said they can tailor make a shirt starting at €185 but that it takes 4-6 weeks.

I think getting a tailor made shirt is the way to go but where can do it cheaper than Pink?

It'd cost you less and take less time to get a 16" altered than getting one made up from scratch.

    If you wanted tailor made though, check out M&S's offering;

I haven't tried it myself, but it might be of some use to you - Again, you won't have it ready for next week, and you'll have to get yourself measured for it.
