I in the process of buying a steel flat pack shed, what just came to my mind though is do i need planning permission to erect one. I'm not sure of the size i want yet but it would be somewhere in the region of 12mtrs by 8mtrs. Is there a restriction on how high it is? It would be towards the rear of my home, no neighbours to my rear or sides.

You need planning for that shed as the floor area is 96m2 and the exempted limit is 25m2 see, Class 3 of SI No.600 of 2001.
