So where yall think mick o dwyer will go?

Theres talk of him joining monaghan but i cant see that happenin.

Limerick is the obvious choice but as we know, mick dosent always follow the obvious.

    Thoughts...

Personally I think it's time he left the scene permanently.

To be honest, I think he's tainted his reputation this year with the way his Wicklow team capitulated against Cavan in the qualifiers.

He should really call it a day but his passion for the game knows no bounds so we'll probably see him pop up somewhere.

The question is "Who can afford him"

    I sure hope Meath can't

    Correct.
And as I pointed out in the Limerick thread, this guy isn't all he is cracked up to be either. Take away his Kerry achievements and you're left with very little silverware in about 20 years of huffing and puffing.

Did he play a sub during his Wicklow reign at all?

I know 2 came on in his last game against Cavan.

I don't know too much about his time in wicklow, but suffice to say, the media tend to get nostalgic and carried away with anyone with grey hair.

If he loved the gaa as much as he says he should train the local U-14s below in Kerry.

Think his methods and idea are a bit dated and tiem to graciously retire and leave it to younger, local guys with more modern methods

I've said it before on this forum, but I'd genuinely love to see him go to Kilkenny. Contrary to popular belief, they do have footballers there. Also contrary to popular belief there is more than enough room for both sports to be played and it would take nothing from the success of their various hurling teams. Wouldn't it be great to have the best managers from each of our two sports in the same county at the same time?

Yes, few would complain if he went to KK.

So 8 all ireland titles with Kerry, brought football back in Kildare and a Leinster title and all ireland final appearance.Leinster title with Laois and gave Wicklow a great run.
    Yeah,as a previous poster said,he wasnt up to much:rolleyes:

Only in it for the money etc.

Great manager and just cause he is old doesnt mean he cant bring a great spirit and a good run to a Mayo type team.
