TCD Portal Password not working.

I'm trying to check if my timetable is up yet but my password isn't working. Im in SF Bess.

Does anybody have any idea whats going on here?
or could somebody post the timetable here?

I'm in SF BESS too (as in, going into JS) and I can't get in either.

I can't get in either after a few failed log-ins I tried clicking on the 'register' button just to see if I needed to change my password and then a warning came up saying:

"Service Temporarily Unavailable. The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later."

I presume they are just updating it or something, maybe adding this year's results to the student records or putting up timetables.

Hopefully it'll be back up soon though... I need to get in!:mad:

I'm in science, couldn't get in last night, it's grand for me now so yours is probably back too.

My password has worked pretty inconsistently since I was given it sometime last year. Much like swipe card access around the campus, inconsistency is something you have to get used to when dealing with anything to do with I.T in Trinity..

You have to change your password regularly enough, (like every 6 months, after the 90 day period at the start) and also, were you using the right password for everything? your portal pass isn't linked to your email pass which isn't linked to your network login, which is different to your CSC password. They're three seperate systems, = three seperate passwords. I've never had any problems with my passwords and the only ones i've seen have been to do with people mixing them up. Also, as a beside, do you keep your swipe card in the same pocket as your mobile phone? That causes problems sometimes. I've found IT in trinity to be fine really (other than the printing and the NAC)

I've always changed my portal password anytime I've had to change my network password.

Just checked there and it seems I can log on to the Portal using ANY of my old network passwords as a result. Weird!

Exactly! and no problems... other than that..... that is weird... Might want to check that one out...

I changed it a couple of times through the I.S.Services peeps but it was still pretty inconsistent.
