Encrypted channels on freesat

Hi all i am sure this topic has already ben touched on already so please forgive me! I purchased a freesat box the other day working great, i am jst wondering the encrypted channels on the box e.g bravo, living, discovery,rte, tv3 etc is there anyway of getting them? any way of hacking them with a card or anything? i know…

Encrypted or Not these channels wont show up on a official Freesat box http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freesat.
what you seem to have is a Free to Air/ FTA satellite receiver http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FTA_receiver .
And as the other posters have said it cant be done and it would be Illegal to try.

Clue is in the name:
Freesat, FTA (=Free To Air). There are four satellites with seven beams between them I think. All the Sky Pay TV services are also on the same dish when you are receiving Freesat/BBC.

You need a Sky subscription and a Sky /NDS viewing card (owned by Sky/NDS) and Sky Digibox (which you own, but may be subsidised hence a minimum contract period).

We have quite draconian laws regarding Pay TV.

( d ) publish information with the intention of assisting or enabling any person to intercept such a service.
