    Hi,

I've being working as an actionscript 3 and iphone developer for a couple of years now since leaving college.

I want to bump up my knowledge and at the moment I'm inclined to get into java programming. I did a little jave in college but no where near enough to be employable in the area.

So I'd like to study java, take the exams and get certified.
I'm finding it difficult at the moment to get usefull information on how to do this in Ireland and to find information on the process to set things in motion.

Has anybody gone through this process and would you be able to describe it to me?

Where do I go to train or find study material to teach myself?
Where do I apply for / take the exams?
Was it a worthwhile experience for you?
Any other information you might be able to share that could help me?

    Thanks
    dub
