For those of you who are looking for a different way of meeting friends (some members don't play) or just looking for a fun hobby to pass the time.

It's a rugby team. The Dublin Devils are a gay soccer team.

Not being funny but are you looking for the details out of personal interest or professional interest?

    anyway

    Details here http://ewrfc.ie/

    and for the soccer clubs

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

    Little bump for this!

Going to update this with match details if the mods don't mind. As the club is always looking for new members either to support, train or play with us!

We have a match today at 1.00 pm in the Iveagh grounds on the Crumlin road to determine if we win our current league section so any support or interested players are more than welcome :-)

They seem to be the whipping boys!!!!

Had some beatings in the second half of the season all right, lost a lot of players through injuries so some weeks were going out with 2 or 3 lads who had never played a game before but all good learning. Hopefully drop to J5 next year and even things out a bit. Considering the vast majority of the team had never played rugby before joining the warriors the fact we have won games at all is an achievement. Quite often the scorelines don't tell the whole story either as many of the teams we have played will testify.

Can straight guys join this club? I haven't played in years so I guess I could be seen as somewhat a beginner again. I am looking to play for a club who enjoys rugby and who don't take it all too serious.

    Hey,
I'm a player at this club. To all thinking about joining. We train twice a week. We have an open policy to anyone who just wants to play and support rugby no matter what your background. All we ask is that you are willing to learn.

Also any players who feel that they'd like to get back into playing we play J4 level which should ease you in nicely.

@noseymike2010. We have straight guys on the team already.

Fair enough. Worth looking into. Do you go on a Rugby tour every year?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 510 ✭✭✭CdeC

There is a European (Union) cup and World (Bingham) cup on alternating years.
This year the Union cup is being hosted by Amsterdam and the Bingham cup next year is being held by Manchester.

Is this open to all clubs in J4/J5 or just for the Warriors. Ths does sound interesting especially the Amsterdam trip. Very interesting place indeed.

Just a curious question. .... Is the much homophobic taunting of the warriors team because they are gay??

No nearly all the teams we come up against are perfectly fine about it, they don't want to get beaten by us but there has been no homophobic BS

I don't play anymore but know a few of the trinity team ya just played- they said it was a tough, scrappy match but that you were all big fu.ckers! I'd love to play against the lads- does anyone drive out to training from town?

I wonder is there more homophobia in soccer?
