Hows it going, I hear that UCD and DIT have Fight Like Apes and Tinneh Tempah at their ball things, any word on what DCU get?
And while I'm asking, can any other people tell me if we get famous people giving lectures or anything? I heard UCD got Dr. Cox off scrubs and all and I was wondering about DCU.
    Cheers.

Isn't that just an award they give out to get celebrities in the door. All sounds like a publicity stunt.

Apparently half of Fine Gael are in for Clubs & Socs Days, if that counts.

Fight Like Apes seem to roll up pretty regularly to play the bar anyway. And other than that, there've been some pretty big name acts playing in DCU before. Still, yer probably better off paying 50% less for less well known bands and spending the rest on drink. If you really want to see a particular band it's better to see them on a dedicated tour. Plus, the cheaper balls are generally better craic, I've found.

We had Fight Like Apes do a free show during orientation week last year. A lot of the ball things just have a DJ though. a fair few bands visit throughout the year though.

I think they're having another leadership contest

If you say it out loud it sounds like the less successful sequel to 1 Man 1 Screwdriver.
