iMac screen - not well

This is probably very obvious but just to check: I have my iMac for over four years now. A few weeks back, a yellow line appeared on the screen, from top to bottom. I've assumed that something has burst within the screen and the line is with me forever. This evening, yellow line has been joined by a parallel blue line.

While they look interesting, am I right to think my screen is on the way out and, if so, is there anything I can do (short of limiting the time I have it on)?

    Thanks for any help.

is it one of the white backed imacs? if so, I think there may be a known issue and apple have a repair extension program for it.

Call apple and see what they say, or maybe drop it in to an ASP locally .. I think you might get it repaired free.

    Thanks for that.

Yes, it is one of the white backed ones so I'll give them a shout.
