I make mostly video game influenced electronica(not chiptunes, though I have a few of those too).

I'm wondering where to send this to in terms of radio stations/djs etc. to get some play?

alot of stations wont play these if there unsigned so send them to a label dealing with similar types of tracks.

or your could target specific djs who play the sort of music you make and send them your stuff

Only guy in Ireland playing chiptunes / video game electronica / 8-bit music / bitpop / chipstep sort of stuff is Zyme on Raidio Na Life, he runs the Game Pak nights as well, dedicated to this kind of stuff. Drop him an email and tell him I sent you.

That's not Danny Lynch is it? I already know him. Unless someone else is running the gamepak nights. Gamepak seems to be very chiptune orientated, my stuff is mostly just kind of influenced by video game music, since it's mostly mod/tracker stuff it's the nature of the beast. Even my chiptunes cheat and use delays and filters(Though the C64 could do this too I think).

As already said, find a suitable label or two and send them on your stuff. Alternatively, generally speaking people who make music tend to listen to music of a similar vein, so maybe hit up some of the artists you listen to, some of the guys who have done mixes in the same vein etc.

The internet makes hustling pretty easy. You can just pop of an email and most people are fairly open to listening to stuff that is sent to them. If you ask nicely they might even give you a bit of feedback on the track from a production/technical point of view even if it's not there particular cup of tea.

Also, Gamepak isn't completely chiptunes orientated. I did a night there dropping chip-step and 8-bit dubs and the room was jammed and loving it.

An open minded enough crowd once you are feeding them something with an 8 bit vibe. One of the tracks i dropped was a dub remix of the Castlevania theme tune and the place went bonkers.

    Good times.
