iTunes question

Hi folks - quick question about iTunes:

I've noticed lately that when you select some songs to play on iTunes (or on iPod) they don't begin at the start of the song - i think this may be due to the fact that on the last occasion I listened to that particular song I stopped playing it before the end?

Anyway its a bit annoying! Has anyone else noticed this, and is there a solution?

    cheers!

You can change that in your settings/preferences. There's an option to continue on from where you left or start a-new.

    its me again!

It turns out the only setting I can find on my iPod (on my iPhone BTW) relating to playing from the beginning, or where I left off, relates to videos. I can't find a similar setting for music either on the iPod or on iTunes.

    Can someone help?

    cheers

Try the video one see if that works first.

On my iPhone at the moment so can't check this one but on iTunes go to the track... right click on it.... info.... Options ... Might be something there that will help you.

Exactly right, it's the check box "Remember playback position". If you uncheck it then the song will start from the beginning when you play it again.

do you have to do this for every song (surely not?), or is there some general setting?

Select them all. Left click on one song, Ctrl-A will select all of them, right click and select Get Info, and under the "options" tab click on "Remember Position" and make sure it is set to NO. When you click OK it will change it for all the songs.

It used to ask something stupid like did I want to change multiple items, don't know if that's gone now or it's sick of asking me by now.
