Hi lads - I've been looking at the other threads but couldn't realy find an answer for this, was hoping someone out there could help.
My wife is a housewife i.e. no income so no paye tax credits - she has recently started minding a baby, can she declare her earnings from this with a view to transferring allowances to me?
It's only a modest income, well below the 15K allowable before tax is payable.
When do the allwances become available to her, is it as soon as she registers for tax (even though she will never earn enough to actually pay tax) or is it when she crosses the threashold when she should start paying?
Not sure if there's snough info. there but any help would be appreciated- Thanks

    Hi,
You are entitled to the Married Persons Cr already.

Your wife can only get the PAYE Cr if she takes up a PAYE job. If she is self employed then no extra credits.
