    Right lads well !...

I've always been interested in DJing and just never gotten around to it.

And well.. Now the time has come to start!

So I really know nothing about actually the DJing itself.
I just know a few DJs that I idolize and would love to know how to do it!
So I need a starter point!
I have nothing ! So everything that is suggested is appreciated ! :)

budget and what sort of djing you want to do will factor heavily.

do you dream of being a vinyl spinning dj or do you want to know how people dj from there laptops.

500 will cover a Controller(new age decks), decent soundcard and software.

well to start with you could download some demos of some software.

id say you will be doing it from a laptop with that sort of budget.

so what you will need is some software(ableton, traktor, virtualdj etc)
you should be able to get demos of these and figure out what one you would go with.

then you will need a midi controller, something that looks like a traditional mixer should work well.theres a **** load of them out there so do some research)

there is some free djing programmes out there too so you could try them aswell

One of the lads on here is selling this (more or less brand new too)

perfect for you if laptop djing is the road you wanna go down. You can take it straight out of the box, plug it in, play it, and voila, you're a dj.
