Indeed it does. Silly question, but you'd obviously need a data plan to avail full use of this?

It depends on where you use this, if for example you want to access it from your work and you have Wifi available on your iPhone in work then it will be fine and obviously at home on a Wifi network it will be fine without a full data plan. But with an iPhone you really need a data contract, IMO.

Haven't tried this service yet, but I have been using AudioGalaxy which is a similar service and it is great, though them seem to have turned into an invite only service until they ramp up their capabilities. Originally I used SimplifyMedia which was fantastic until Google bought it and closed it down.

I really think this functionality should be offered automatically by Apple, especially as google will have the SimplifyMedia service built into Android soon.
