Seems we'll get our first proper look at this soon. Only 4 maps is very worrying, but other rumours claim that EA intend to only charge €15 or so.

Lack of maps is what has killed Bad Company 2. 4 maps mean 1 will unpopular leaving us 3. But I'm sure there'll be loads of mode packs released for it.

You know what, It looks brilliant but I just cant see it fitting into the game. I mean you are gonna have to be so close to use the Flame, then how does the other person die....instantly or can you still shoot.

Cant see it myself.....hope its released on time, but with this other free4play BF series it could very well slip.

They're different teams, a group called Easy does the Free4Play stuff, but Dice still do the normal BF games.

It's getting 6 new vehicles, as well as 49 60's and 70's music for the vehicle radio. Sounds cool. Also, some of those weapons look good. Might pick it up now

Had high hopes nostalgic wise for this till Fairy dashed them when he told me what it actually was.

I wanted to see a reskinned BFV with the same maps and gameplay.

I wanted to hear the original soundtrack in all it's glory again.

The EA store twitter feed claimed Dec 21st, or Dec 18th for those with preorder. They then pulled that statement. But it can't be far off, the leaked patch this week seemed to have pretty much all the content within.

There's info about on how it works:

everyone ends up getting the content through a patch to BC2, whether they like it or not.

When you purchase it, through Steam/EA Store, you're given the redeem code to use in-game to add it to your applicable EA account.

It could be worse, for the PS3 their release is the 22nd.

i have the steam version of bfbc2 so i presume since vietnam is tied in with your ea account i will be able to buy vietnam from ea and apply the code to the steam version.

Yes. Just go onto steam, and its there in the coming soon section.

Steam say that their Vietnam will only work with their BC2.

EA have said otherwise though, and I'm inclined to believe them since the content is already in the PC patch and it's just a permission to add to your EA account, and that can be done with the redeem code Steam provide.

Yeah I really doubt it SPEAR....I mean talk about shooting people in the foot. And TBH they really would have to state it before you buy it that its not compatible....other wise they are gonna get hundreds of thousands or emails....wrecking their heads.

Anyone have a solid play date for the preorders off the EA Store? It says preorder it there and play it 3 days early. Then the date given is the 18th. Is the 18th for preorders? Or will it be the 15th? Steam has the release date as the 18th also.

18th. 21st is the live date. 18th for pre-orders.
