I just received the email about registering for modules and paying my fee but like the title suggests I'm waiting on my results to come out next wednesday. Do I wait til they come out and (hopefully :P) register then, or do I do it with everyone else now?

Hey I'm in the same boat as you. Our results are out the 15th September so we register on 17th September, a week later than those who aren't waiting on exam results.

Surely provisional results are already up at this stage? When i had August repeats the provo results were usually up on UCC SIT round now.

Nope not with BA 1 anyway. Although Medicine 1's results were out a day earlier than given so we might get our's the 14th. How lucky we are. I won't be waiting til after 4pm anyway, my summer results were up at 9am.

You will have up to one week to register from the date you receive your exam results http://www.ucc.ie/en/registration/dates-procedures/dates/ (at the end of that page)

Registration opens 1 week after your exam results are out, you don't have to register within that week.

Oh wait sorry I'm confused now. Say all goes well Wednesday can I register that day? Or even thursday or friday? Or do I have to wait until next wednesday? Because college starts Monday

You'll have to wait until the following Wedneday to register. You don't need to be registered to attend your lectures and tutorials though so don't worry about that.

I didn't do any repeat exams in August and am not registered yet. I presume we have until the last week in September to actually choose our modules and register. Also, where do i find out what's involved in the various subjects

for example, i want to find out what kind of stuff i can expect from Archaeology in second year. All i get on the UCC site is this:

Students take 50 credits as follows:
    AR2016 (5 credits), AR2036 (10 credits)
plus 35 credits from the following:
    AR2014, AR2027, AR2032, AR2033, AR2034, AR2035, AR2037, AR2038, AR2039, AR2040 (5 credits per module).

That would be great if i knew what AR2016 or AR 2036 actually was. Its all very confusing. :(

The book of modules is your friend here. Surely you know this already?
