I've a quick question regarding a USB Mains Charger for Huawei E5830.

I picked up a cheap 2nd hand E5830 without charger and would like to get one from eBay or elsewhere.

What's the output rating of the included mains charger? Volts and amps?

Can anyone confirm if you can charge the battery and use WiFi at the same time?

    Thanks

    Huawei travel charger
    Model no.:TCPA-053065BY
    Input:100~50/60Hz 0.2A
    Output: 5.3V (Read below) 650mA

Bit for read below, there is a symbol between the output numbers that is a long line with three smaller lines under it. Someone might know the name for it and it's probably on all chargers

The charger shown in the above link would be perfect for your device and adverts.ie would be more reliable than ebay or the likes!!:):)

If you want to charge *and* use at the same time, with an E5830, with long and short USB cables, think about getting a cheap USB charger that puts out 1 amp. (1000 milliamps)

The new E585 plug adapters are 1 amp. I use it, mix and match, with a Huawei E5830 and a E585. 5M lenght USB cables etc. no issues.

    Here's a photo I had posted from a boards.ie E585 thread.
