Hi does anyone know if you can rent rowing boats on the corrib and if there is an Island on the river or lake where we can have a picnic?

There are small rowing boats for hire at Woodquay - there's a small premises with a shop window across the road from the rowing club that has a sign in the window with a phone number to call for the rental boats. You could have a picnic on Jordan's Island upstream of the road bridge I suppose, or head further up to Menlo Castle, but that's a long row!
