Anyone used them? Anyone heard of them?
Was talking to a rep today from them and they sound good so far, but I'd like to hear opinions from anyone who doesn't stand to make a few quid! :D
Apparently they are better quality than Tegral according to the rep, so I'm just a little curious why I haven't heard anything about them before.
If anyone has prices I've posted this in the prices/cost section as well here-

    All the best

I was looking at them as well. SVK cromleigh??. I got as good a price of Capco in the end. But they have the same warranty etc as the others. All reps will blow up their own stuff. And remember some of the reps in the hardwares, get more commision from one over the other. For e.g, I dealt direct with capco, but for SVK id be dealing with rep from hardware, so id say he would pull more commision.

These were originally sold by capco, but following some internal changes within the group an ex MD went out on his own with the agency. Quality wise I would feel that they are on a par with thrutone etc

    Hi dos

Supplied sVK( Welch Blue ) to a golf club in Sligo about 6 years ago. Still look as good as the day I supplied them. Club beside sea no sign of discolourasion etc. I would be very happy when them.

    Similar to tred,

Got a sample of these and they looked good, but I also endedup going direct to Capco and got a good deal.

Last slate was fitted on Friday and I'm still happy.

Note, the Capco vent slates were very expensive, soif you know how many you need try and get them included in the first quote.

Thanks folks. Should have updated this.
Went with Tegral in the end.
When we looked at the options, we decided that we wanted a slate with a dressed edge, but weren't bothered about the textured surface. Quotes and products from SVK looked good and we were leaning heavily in their direction. Just to cover all the bases, I rang the local providers to see what they could do for me, not expecting it to be competitive as I knew they were Tegral stockists. As it turned out, they gave a quote for Rivendale(dressed edge + textured surface) which was about halfway between SVK's equivalent and SVK's dressed edge + flat surface. (Tegral dont do dressed edge + flat surface)
I knew the local guy had cut this price down to the last, so I gave them the business while hoping that Tegral being larger and more indigenous here would prove a safer bet in the long term.
Still not TOO bothered about the textured surface too much, but on the few lower sections of roofing, it does look better ;)
(If anyone wants to know the prices, just search for "slate prices" in the prices/costs section.)
