Screen is black

I get to the login part, enter password, and am taken to a black screen with the white cursor. There is a virus malwaredoctor which i tried getting rid of by scanning and removing, but after a restart it won't let me into the laptop unless its on safe mode. Think this may be more a windows problem. I have moved it to Windows Forum.
If you feel its a virus or malware ask the windows mods to move to Virus & Malware Removal.

Try using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, using the instructions here:
