been there twice with kids of 17, 14 and 11. very enjoyable. lots of French, German and Dutch there. Great pool complex. Kiddies one with baby sized slides. Adult pools with slides and a twisty one, lane swimming avail. Scuba diving lessons avail. Decent sized little grocery shop on site with all the usuals and a fresh bakery every morning, own restaurant. we flew to Barcelona and hired car, easy drive up. There is a regular bus service from campsite to town (at least in high summer there is anyway). We hired biked on site and just cycled everywhere, beach about 5 min cycle, town about 20mins. Beach can be rough and has a deep shelf which suited us but might not be great if you have young kids. Beach has windsurfers/pedalos for hire. Town about 30 mins north has very shallow beach maybe more suited if don't like rough beach. Very close to Pyrenees - lovely views from up there. We hired bikes and went on an escorted mountain ride down from local summit. Found it a very good site, spotless clean, quiet at nighttime with good security. Might be a bit different in Sept but I'd definitely recommend it from high summertime experiences anyway. any other questions?

go onto AA routeplanner and print off the travel directions from Carcassonne to Argeles, and then print them off in reverse (directions differ for motorway exits, etc) on the way back. Campsite is very flat so great for that age of kids, there is a kids playround with swings, slides, etc. There is a big supermarket nearby, 10 min drive max called Carrfourre (sp??). MacDonalds next door to it too. Beautiful village down the coast towards Spain called Couliere if you like seafood, lovely little streets winding up from the harbour beach, excellent seafood. Enjoy - wish I was going back soon, my hols seems so long ago. There is internet access in the reception too if you need that, pay as you go or if you have own laptop, you can use that there.

Well Simpsons! arrived safely back Argeles to the rain of Ireland, had a ball, great spot, Couilliore fab, a car is essential !! French people slightly unfriendly until you get to know them, expensive for food and drink, so we bbq'd and the like . All in all very enjoyable, thanks a million !!:)
