    Hi folks,

Looking at this for a venue, to anybody who has gotten married there:
    How was accommodation for guests?

Its a small place I know so obviously when team wedding are all holed up, there will be less rooms available.

I guess what I'm asking is, is the much in the way of near by accomodation in the area?

Did anyone find this a problem either attending or having a wedding there?

    Hi there,
My fiance's sister ahd her wedding in the station house in May this year.
She had approx 100 people at the wedding and never heard any problems with guest not being able to get rooms.
The hotel owns houses in the village also.
Everything went well on the day and the couple couldnt have been happier with the hotel!

Have done two weddings there. It's a great spot for a wedding. Food was excellent. Management very friendly.

I attended a wedding here 2 yrs ago this autumn. I thought it was a very quaint venue, it only holds about 100 or a little over. It felt quite intimate too, as in you knew everyone was personal to the bride and groom, I suppose in not a lot of people who were invited for the sake of being invited or joe up the road or what ever. The band that played it were brilliant - cannot remember who they were.

I was there last sunday. It was tiny. Looked very cramped even for a small wedding

we had provisionally booked it before we settle on the Hodson Bay, but in the end it was the size of the room put us off... They had a tiny space for a band and dancing, and we're planning on a LOt if dancing! ;)

That said, the hotel is beautiful (though the red carpet was threadbare and filthy!) and they're all extremely nice and helpful there...
