how did you get on last year?

    much craic in the class?

    is it hard?

    would really appreciate your opinion.

Is that a Castlebar Course Con? I was searching for it but couldn't find it. It sounds like a nice Course to do. :)

No it's very small. Funny enough I went to Castlebar for my first 2 years to do PC Programming. Then went to Galway for 3rd and 4th year doing this course and then IT for Business Applications. I thought the lecturers were much better in Castelbar, the course was also better there.

I was a bit disappointed in the course in Galway, I covered mostly stuff I had already done in Castlebar. Actually on the whole, I've looked at many IT courses in Ireland and in my opinion they are all pretty terrible

yeah not really much good IT course's in Ireland in the first place, looking forward to this one though, for the craic and excuse to get out of Dublin.

was the 3rd year hard? Did you have to knuckle down much?

To be honest no. Although I had done the more difficult topics in second year so I got lucky. Third year turned out to be my best year in college in terms of going out. Others in my class didn't go out much though. There was a project in second term which took up quite a bit of time. The one in final year took even more. But it beats working!!

I managed to get a degree when working nights full time in final year also. But other than the project in final year the rest of it was handy enough. Mind you most people in it got 1.1 while I got a 2.1..I reckon the lecturers resented me for my poor attendance in the mornings

The course has changed slightly this year if I remember correctly. I'm moving into the 4th year now and it's going to be different to last years one, but I can't see them making many changes.

To be honest this course is basic enough, if you want to really learn about IT or go into any depth about computing then I would advise against it. Although if you wanna do a piss easy course and get to go out almost whenever you want, then do it.
