Hi I was wondering can anybody please help me with my problem/query, it would be much appreciated.

I plan to undertake a PGDE and become a geography teacher. However in my degree (Arts) with geogrpahy as one of my main subjects, I have not done many Physical Geography modules (~2); as is outlined in
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR RECOGNITION TO TEACH GEOGRAPHY i.e. 'The degree course must include study of substantial elements in both Human and Physical Geography.'

Does anyone have similar experiences of such a situation or advice? Will the teaching council refuse to register you as a geog teacher if your degree is primarily in Human Geog??Thanks in advance:)

They may do. The will look at the full transcripts of your degree to see how much of each subject was done each year, eg: 50% Geog and 50% say, English.

Don't know if they will go so far as to look at what the modules were within geography. Generally if you have a BA in 2 subjects and you did them both for the full 3 years I don't think theres a problem.
