Got an interview but..

So i'm going to an interview this week, i'm supposed to be going to a good friends wedding that day, but i've decided to miss most of it for this interview.

Its not a specialised area, i'm sure there will be plenty of people being interviewed for these jobs.

My problem is this.. i just booked flights for a two week trip across the atlantic. Leaving on the 28th of this month.

Will i be struck off the list as soon as i mention this? Has anyone ever been in the same position and still been offered the job? Or vice versa?

    Any information would be great!

Dont jump to far ahead. broach that if your offered the job. but concentrate on the interview first and be positive.

If it so happens you get it. mention this as a pre requisite to your employment. If they want you this should not matter.

Don't mention it till you get a job offer - why complicate things early on in the process of consideration?

Dont mention it at all till it comes important or they bring it up.

If they want you and they wont mind but you dont mention it till you get the offer.

It's a question that I always ask when I'm interviewing somebody. If it's the right person for the job it doesn't matter, providing they aren't going on a six week cruise or something. :)

Most employers are the same unless they are absolutely desperate for someone to start ASAP.

    Cheers for the replies.

I haven't much interview expierence (because i've always had a job luckily!), but i just kind of assumed that "have you any holidays planned?" is a question that would come up in an interview.

I wouldn't mention it unless i was offered the job, or it was brought up.

I also asked my current employer what he thinks and he pretty much said what you said r3nu4l.

    Fingers crossed i suppose! :)
