Incredibly annoying iPhone 4 problem!

I've noticed that often when I'm on calls, the screen reacts to the fact that the phone is pressed against the side of my face - ie. pressing my cheek against it hits buttons, usually number keys (causing dial tones) but it has also hit "Mute" (casing the person at the other end to think I'm gone) and "Speaker" while in calls.

This has been driving me bonkers since I got it. I never had this problem with the 2G or 3GS - obviously they could tell the difference between your finger and your cheek.

Anyone else had this problem? And know how to prevent it?

This is the only issue I've had with the new phone since I got it
