Having reached the ripe auld age of 26 I've decided it is about time I learned how to swim properly. Starting tonight and looking forward to it.

How long do people reckon it will take before I am fish like?

another 20,000 years before we have gills!!!

It's one of the best decisions you'll ever make, fair play!

It depends really, you get out what you put into it! I've had a couple of lads for 1 to 1 lessons that couldn't swim a length able to finish a sprint triathlon (750m swim) within 10 weeks of starting lessons. They were in the water 4 days a week practicing the drills I gave them & we're exceptionally fit! 1 of them is an intercounty GAA player & is now planning his training for an Olympic distance triathlon for next year!
